Technical framework

AnBay adopts a B/S architecture with unified storage. It consists of three main components: Backup Server, Storage Server, and Agent. The typical deployment architecture consists of one backup storage server and multiple agents.

Backup server: As the “brain” of the backup system, the backup server is responsible for job scheduling and management of all agents, storage servers, and backup and restore operations.

Storage server: The storage server stores all backup data. One or more storage servers can be deployed. Additionally, server can be deployed with backup servers on the same device.

Agent: The PC where the AnBay agent is installed.

System management console: Provides an advanced operation interface for system administrators to manage users and storage, configure capacity, and monitor system state.

Desktop management console: Provides a simplified and user-friendly interface for desktop users to perform backup and restore operations.
